Chef-led market tours and onboard cooking classes are among the culinary experiences to be launched on Regent Seven Seas’ newest luxury cruise ship.

From December 2026 Seven Seas Prestige will offer guests 64 culinary arts kitchen classes on the ship and 25 epicurean explorer tours in port during sailings.

The cruise line said the immersive gastronomic experiences will “connect guests to destinations through flavour, history and storytelling”.

Passengers can visit the professional-grade culinary arts kitchen on the ship to learn a variety of techniques ranging from knife skills to showstopping recipes such as Argentine barbecue steak. Prices for the two-hour classes start from $129 per guest.

While sailing to destinations across the globe, guests can sign up to epicurean explorer tours where chefs will guide groups through local markets to sample food and enjoy meals in famed Michelin-star restaurants.

Many tours also return to the ship for additional tastings and demonstrations.

For example, passengers can visit La Boqueria market and the contemporary Santa Caterina Market in Barcelona before sitting down for a Catalan-themed tapas lunch. The gastronomic adventure concludes on board with a cava tasting. Prices start from $159 per guest.

Classes and tours are limited to a maximum of 18 guests.

Kathryn Kelly, executive chef and director of culinary enrichment for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: “Our goal is to give guests the opportunity to explore cuisines, ingredients, and culinary traditions inspired by the destinations we visit, while enjoying a fun, social environment where stories and experiences are shared.

“Along the way, we introduce the techniques professional chefs use every day, helping guests build a repertoire of recipes and skills they can confidently recreate at home. Designed to appeal to a wide range of tastes and abilities, our classes welcome everyone from enthusiastic beginners to experienced home cooks, all delivered in one of the most sophisticated teaching kitchens at sea.”

The new cruise ship, which has capacity for 850 passengers, has 56 voyages to choose from up until 2028, including Caribbean cruises and transatlantic voyages to the Mediterranean.

On board, guests can choose from 12 suite categories, including the £20,000-per-night. 9,000-square-foot Skyview Regent Suite.

Features across the ship include butler service, luxury lounges and a new Mediterranean mezze-style restaurant called Azure.
