What a day’s action!
Last weekend’s horrible weather has had its benefits, belatedly, as it has given us a blockbuster bonus card at Newbury with Betfair Super Saturday turning into Super Sunday.
The re-arranged meeting is headlined by the Betfair Hurdle, the most lucrative handicap hurdle race in the UK, which is off at 3.35pm, with 23 going to post.
And if that isn’t enough to whet the appetite, there’s also back-to-back Grade 2 action in the Denman Chase and the Gamer Spirit Chase, both of which could have major clues for the Cheltenham Festival, which is now less than a month away.
Johnny Ward will be taking you through the action below.
That’s it for today folks. I hope you enjoyed the racing. Champ looks sure to be a big player in the Gold Cup, while we also have a new contender for the Supreme.

Result: 4.45 Newbury
1. Good Risk At All 10-1
2. I Like To Move It 100-30
3. Gelino Bello 8-1
The winner was green in front but won well, with the runner-up chasing him gamely. The favourite, Might I, had every chance in fourth.

This is going to be an informative race. Might I is favourite but I Like To Move It and Horn Cape both seem well-fancied 4-1 chances.

Soaring to Supreme win?
Soaring Glory was duly cut to 10-1 (from 25) for the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival after scoring under Jonjo O’Neill Jr.

Here’s a look back at the big race. The winner has a bright future all going well.

We've just the one race left at Newbury and it's far from a shabby one, a Listed bumper, with Might I trading as 3.7 favourite. His late sire, Fame And Glory, provided the winner of the big race today. He has been really well-backed.

Result: 4.10 Newbury
1. Enrilo 2-1 Fav
2. Hold The Note 4-1
Enrilo travelled and jumped really well. He looked set to win readily jumping the last but then seemed to idle in front. The wind op seemed to do the trick for Hold The Note, who stayed on gamely and was the main danger for much of the race. Ballymoy briefly looked a threat up the run-in in third. “He’s definitely a bit of a monkey,” said the winning trainer Paul Nicholls’ daughter Megan on Racing TV.

Enrilo (3.35) heads the betting for the novices' handicap chase here (4.10), a race in which they nearly all have to have some sort of chance.

Winning trainer Jonjo O’Neill said after the Betfair Hurdle: “His jumping was always a little bit worrying and he was not the most natural. We’ve done a lot of work with him. The race went according to plan. We do have the option of Cheltenham.”

Alan King says with decent ground Sceau Royal may run at Cheltenham but he has Champion Hurdle and Champion Chase options.
