Meghan has said that everyone should have a “basic right to privacy” in a previously unseen clip from her and Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The Duchess of Sussex said that people should be able to share what they feel “comfortable” with from their personal lives.
Buckingham Palace is reportedly in “crisis talks” following Harry and Meghan’s tell-all interview.
According to the BBC, “crisis meetings” have taken place involving senior royals following the documentary.
BBC royal correspondent Daniela Relph has said it is “increasingly unsustainable for Buckingham Palace to say nothing” about the couple’s claims.
During a two-hour TV special in which Oprah Winfrey interviewed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Meghan said that conversations were had about how dark her child’s skin would be when she was pregnant.
Winfrey confirmed that Harry had asked her to ensure it was clear neither the Queen nor the Duke of Edinburgh were part of those conversations.
During the interview, which was originally over three hours long but was cut down for TV, Meghan revealed that she had suffered from suicidal thoughts and said that the palace did not help her when asked.
On Tuesday morning, Prince Charles made his first public appearance since the interview was broadcast.
Charles, who was visiting a pop-up vaccination centre in London, was swiftly moved on as a reporter asked him what he thought of the interview.
The couple’s interview, which aired on American network, CBS, on Sunday night, was then played to UK audiences on ITV on Monday night.
Meghan has said that everyone should have a “basic right to privacy” in a new unseen clip from last night’s interview.
The clip, which wasn’t included in the original broadcast, was published by Oprahmag.com.
In the video, the Duchess of Sussex said: “Two things here: I think everyone has a basic right to privacy, basic. We’re not talking about anything that anybody else wouldn’t expect.
“So if you’re at work and you have a photograph of your child on your desk and your co-worker says ‘Oh my gosh, your kids so cute, that’s fantastic... can I see your phone so I can see all your pictures of your child?’, you go, ‘No, this is the picture I’m comfortable sharing with you’.
“And then if they double down and say, ‘No but you already showed me that one so you’ve got to show me everything, so I’m going to hire someone to sit in front of your house or hide in the bushes and take pictures into your back yard because you’ve lost your right to privacy because you shared one image with me’.
“That’s sort of the flawed argument and operating mechanism that they’re confusing people to think.”

Now, many are sharing the words of warning Oliver shared in 2018 during an appearance on The Late Show.
“I would not blame her if she pulled out of this in the last minute,” he said.
“I don’t think you need to have just seen the pilot episode of The Crown to get a basic sense of she might be marrying into a family that could cause her some emotional complications.”
He added: “I mean, they’re an emotionally stunted group of fundamentally flawed people doing a very silly pseudo job. That’s what she’s marrying into. So I hope she likes it. It’s going to be weird for her.”

The duchess’s father admitted that watching Oprah Winfrey’s interview was the first time he had heard his daughter speak in four years and said he was “disappointed” she had accused him of “betraying” her by colluding with the British tabloid press to profit from untrue stories.
But the Good Morning Britain interview attracted a highly mixed response on social media, with many viewers attacking ITV for giving Markle a platform given his fraught and well-documented relationship with his daughter and apparent ill health.
“Watching Thomas Markle is uncomfortable viewing – he doesn’t look or sound well, he’s rambling and repetitive,” observed psychologist Jo Hemmings, herself a consultant to the programme.
