Chelsea and Porto return to Seville tonight for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie.

The Premier League club were 2-0 winners in last week’s reverse fixture, with Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell scoring crucial ‘away’ goals for the Blues in the Spanish city. As such, Portuguese champions Porto have it all to do this evening if they are to set up a semi-final clash against either Real Madrid or Liverpool – with the La Liga titleholders carrying a 3-1 lead over the Reds into tomorrow’s last-eight second leg.

Last week’s win against Porto was the perfect response by Thomas Tuchel’s side after a shock 5-2 thrashing by relegation-threatened West Brom in the Premier League, and Chelsea maintained momentum at the weekend as they cruised past Crystal Palace 4-1 – marking their biggest victory since their German coach arrived in late January. Porto, meanwhile, were 5-2 winners against Tondela domestically in their most recent outing, and they will take confidence from that result as well as the fact that the Champions League has seen many inspiring comebacks in the past. Follow all the latest updates, goals and score from the UCL quarter-final second leg between Chelsea and Porto below.

    FORM

Porto’s impressive run domestically continued last weekend with a 2-0 win at Tondela. That took them to within six points of league leaders Sporting.

Chelsea, meanwhile, bounced back from their dismal defeat against West Brom with a convincing 4-1 win over Crystal Palace.

    SERGIO CONCEICAO ON PORTO'S CHANCES

“There are many moments overs the years that can be examples of overcoming and believing.

“We are confident. We know that we are going to face a difficult obstacle, but we are here to give the answer that we have to give. The feeling of representing this historic club and its DNA is always on the pitch.

“We have to be a compact, cohesive team. It is necessary to score goals, but also not to suffer.

“In the first leg we played a good game, but it was not good enough. If it were, we would have won the game. We will try to improve even more on what was a good performance by the team.

“Over 90 minutes for FC Porto it requires the ability to believe and be resilient. We always try to enter with that spirit. We are ready to go to the fight and to fight.”
