Celebrity chef Tom Kerridge has said the impact of the Omicron variant will have a catastrophic effect on the hospitality industry.
He told BBC Newsnight a number of restaurants had already shut for the Christmas period because of staff contracting coronavirus and guest cancellations.
Kerridge added 20-25% of revenue for many places in hospitality could come from the month of December alone.
