A strong tornado ripped through the city of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu in southern Brazil on Friday, severely damaging properties and vehicles.
At least six people were killed and at least 750 injured in the tornado, authorities said.
A state of calamity was declared by the State of Paraná on Saturday and authorities confirmed that 80% of the city was left destroyed.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Paraná Fire Department, Jonas Emmanuel Benghi Pinto, told Brazilian media that the scene in Rio Bonito do Iguaçu was similar to "war".
