Wimbledon: Rafa Nadal and British wildcard Katie Boulter win on exciting day
Follow live scores and updates from Wimbledon as Novak Djokovic continued impressive his title defence and Heather Watson overcame Kaja Juvan in straight sets to reach the fourth round of a major for the first time.
Cameron Norrie will now look to build on Watson’s win and a couple of stunning results for the British players on Thursday, when home hopes were revived following the early exits of Emma Raducanu and Andy Murray.
Today, British No 1 Norrie can advance to the fourth round of a grand slam for the first time after overcoming Jaume Munar in five sets on Wednesday. The draw has opened up nicely for Norrie, the No 9 seed, and he faces the experienced Steve Johnson last on Centre Court.
Earlier, six-time champion Djokovic continued his supreme form at the Championships with a 6-0 6-3 6-4 drubbing of Miomir Kecmanovic in an all-Serbian contest on Centre Court. Carlos Alcaraz is also in action against Oscar Otte but Maria Sakkari and Angelique Kerber both crashed out.

Johnson is fed up with the sight of Norrie, who is returning every ball and puts away the forehand winner at the net to move 30-40.
Such brilliant defence again from Norrie. Johnson just can’t get through and when he drops Johnson at the net, the American is unable to pick up the volley.
Double break secured and this match is being wrapped up in double quick time.

Norrie stays on the attack, whipping a couple of lovely winners past Johnson on deuce to get back to break point. The American’s serve gets him out of danger, but on another break point Norrie’s defence is outstanding! Even when Johnson crushes the ball into the corners Norrie is there with the reply. Johnson eventually goes long and Norrie does get the break he was pushing for.

Johnson has his back right up against the wall here, even more so after an error sees him face 0-30. Two winners from Johnson down the line help but he then digs out a forehand that clears the line.
Break point, but Johnson follows in a big forehand to put away the ball at the net.
Norrie then with a massive shank on Johnson’s serve. It rockets into the air and lands out.
Norrie then whips a lovely forehand winner off the short ball from Johnson to get back to deuce.
Johnson replies with a winner of his own - before Norrie produces a stunning piece of defence to deny him!
Norrie had no right to win that point after Johnson deployed the lob, but Norrie scooped up the backhand from the baseline and Johnson eventually netted!
Another break point - Norrie goes searching for the clean winner down the line but it’s a fraction wide.

Another winner from Norrie (his total has been rising all match and now stands at 16). Two loose shots from Johnson on the backhand and then forehand sides bring up two set points for the Briton.
He has the chance to put it away on the backhand down the line but stretches too far. But Johnson then floats one long on the next point and Norrie has the second set all wrapped up.
That was very convincing.

Brilliant from Norrie! He skelps a reverse forehand winner on the run to bring up three break points - but Johnson responds with a forehand drive winner down the line. Norrie nets on the forehand from the Johnson serve but another break point comes up as Johnson slices long, with the American shaking his head.
Clean winner from Norrie! He attacks the Johnson serve and dispatches the forehand down the line.

But then, Johnson flashes the backhand winner crosscourt and Norrie nets on the low backhand, and there’s pressure on the serve at 15-30.
Johnson groans as he sends the forehand long but there’s another error from Norrie on the backhand side, again into the net.
“Mon!” says Norrie after good aggresive play sees Johnson net under pressure on the backhand side. Norrie stays positive and puts away the forehand winner, before Johnson nets as Norrie again comes forward.
Very nice hold from the No 9 seed.

Johnson stems the bleeding with an ace out wide to hold. The match statistics show that Norrie isn’t really dominating in any area of the game, but he’s grinding Johnson down and a fourth round spot looks to be within reach.
