Sánchez shared in an interview with Vogue that her “something blue” was a secret souvenir from her recent flight to space.

She carried the souvenir in the rocket so she could bring it back for Bezos, she explained to the outlet.

“Because it was literally one of the most profound experiences I’ve ever had in my life,” she said.

“Seeing Earth from space, I came down and I couldn’t describe it. It was the greatest experience I’ve ever had. Jeff said, ‘It’s gonna change you more than you think,’ and it completely has, visually, spiritually.”

On Friday, close-up photos revealed the former journalist’s new rock.

According to Zack Stone of Steve Stone Jewellers, “The piece features what appears to be a magnificent 20-carat cushion-cut diamond set in a sleek platinum band.”

Stone estimated the oval-cut diamond ring to be worth an astonishing $4 million, surpassing the 20-carat pink diamond ring Bezos used to propose to Sánchez in 2023, which was valued at $2.5 million.

The former journalist was also seen wearing a bracelet with the initials “LB,” in a nod to her soon-to-be married name.
