Coronation Street star Simon Gregson claimed the UK has “gone crazy” as the actor hit out at the rising price of car insurance.
The actor, who has played Steve McDonald on the ITV soap since 1989, took to Instagram to voice his frustrations at the £7,000 insurance quote he was given for his son’s 2010 VW Polo.
“How can the insurance be worth more than the car?,” he questioned. “I’m not great at maths, but even I know that does not compute.”
“This country, and car insurance, among other financial things, has gone crazy!”
