Trump sees massive spike in Mar-a-Lago membership fees revenue since returning to office
The president’s luxury Florida clubs saw a major spike in earnings last year, according to federal financial disclosures, part of the historic windfall the Republican has earned since returning to office.
Last year, Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club, which also serves as his primary residence, earned him nearly $77.5 million, more than 50 percent more than in 2024.
The estate, which is sometimes called the “Winter White House,” has emerged as a key venue for getting access to the president.
Donors and Silicon Valley executives have flocked to Palm Beach to court the president there and Trump has regularly visited the property and held high-dollar fundraisers at the property since taking office.

Trump demanded his White House bathroom be covered in carpet, authors claim
New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan are continuing to tour their explosive new book Regime Change about Trump’s second term and this week dropped in on MS NOW’s Chris Hayes to discuss it.
Hayes was particularly interested in their reporting on Trump’s insistence that his White House bathroom be covered in wall-to-wall carpet, a decision that raised concerns about a potential mold issue in the historic residence.
“I’ve never in my life encountered carpeting in the bathroom, but this apparently is a real Donald Trump must-have,” Hayes observed.

That’s according to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, citing sources who say they fear that the high temperatures forecast and late start for tomorrow’s fireworks display could again leave the president facing another barren crowd.

Ex-Olympian who touched Reflecting Pool charged with felony destruction of property by Trump’s DOJ
A former Olympic athlete has been charged with destruction of property after he was arrested for reaching into the recently renovated Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and grabbing a flap of broken-off blue liner.
David Hearn, a two-time whitewater racing world champion who competed in the canoe slalom at three Olympic Games, was indicted by a grand jury Thursday in D.C. Superior Court on one felony charge, according to court records.
He is accused of causing $1,000 in damage to the pool. He faces up to 10 years in prison, if convicted.
Hearn has repeatedly denied vandalizing the monument, which has been plagued by algae blooms with the recently applied “American Flag Blue” sealant peeling from the basin and said the damage was already done when he visited the landmark.
The felony charge announced by U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro is the first following the Trump administration’s pledge to target alleged vandals that the president has accused, without evidence, of stripping the pool’s lining and pouring chemicals into the water.
Here she is discussing the case with Jesse Watters on Fox News after yesterday’s press conference:
