Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp and Claire Richards from pop group Steps have been revealed among the acts who will perform aboard Marella Cruises’ latest 1980s and 1990s-themed cruise.

Guests can party with legends of these two decades during the Tui-owned cruise line’s Electric Sunsets 80s vs 90s cruise in April 2027.

Kemp will be on board with a live DJ session, bringing customers back to the 1980s with classic pop hits from Spandau Ballet such as True and Gold in his set.

Richards, one-fifth of Steps, will perform the pop group’s classics such as Tragedy and Better The Devil You Know.

Guests can watch legendary pop star Tiffany, known for her UK number one hit single I Think We’re Alone Now.

The lineup is completed by DJ Sash, a regular on the themed cruise.

The three-night themed adult-only cruise on Marella Discovery takes place from Wednesday 28 April 2027, departing from Palma and calling at Valencia and Ibiza.

This will be the sixth year of the Electric Sunsets themed cruise. Each sailing typically marks a different decade. Guests can attend fancy dress and school disco parties and take part in themed events such as quizzes and escape rooms.

Previous acts have included B*witched and The Honeyz.

Prices start from £799 per person.

Chris Hackney, chief executive at Marella Cruises said: “We’re delighted to welcome our star-studded acts onboard for Electric Sunsets 80s vs 90s in 2027. This themed cruise has become a firm favourite for our customers and we know this incredible lineup will make next year's sailing bigger and better than ever.

“We know through market research and customer feedback, that these eras of music will bring back nostalgia to our cruisers, as well as giving customers a chance to seeing some top stars perform onboard."
