Media personality Jenny McCarthy has claimed that she’s living in a tent as she detoxes her home from mold toxicity.

The Masked Singer judge, 53 — who is a well-known supporter of the anti-vaccine movement — had previously revealed that mycotoxin poisoning, also known as toxic mold, had left her with a range of symptoms including “oozing” eye growths and tooth decay.

In the latest episode of her podcast, the Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show, she revealed that she has been “so desperate to heal” that she moved into a tent.

McCarthy said previously that she underwent several surgeries as she tried to figure out the source of her symptoms, which began with an infected root canal.

She claimed that before her doctor considered mold exposure, she went “down a rabbit hole of doctors, surgeries, teeth being pulled, mysterious growths popping up in places you are not expecting, implants literally falling out, and eventually realizing my immune system was fighting something so much bigger.”

McCarthy said she was “going through medical fatigue” when her doctor considered mold exposure. She was tested and then received a call from her physician, who apparently warned, “Jenny, you’ve got serious mold. You’ve got the type of mold that causes seizures.”

Her doctor told her the mycotoxin poisoning diagnosis explained why her immune system had been “so under attack.”

McCarthy, who is married to Boston Blue star Donnie Wahlberg, said she has now remediated the mold in their Los Angeles home, but she was still living in the tent because she was “too paranoid.”

She said: “I’m still in my mold detox, you guys. I’m still in it, like, I’m knee-deep in it….I’m in month seven of detox and I’m too paranoid to honestly live anywhere else other than a tent.”

McCarthy became one of the most prominent faces of the anti-vaccine movement in the mid 2000s. She has heavily promoted the scientifically discredited claim that child immunizations caused her son’s autism diagnosis. Scientific research has found no link between the two.

Mycotoxins are products of certain fungi and molds that can cause illness in animals and people. According to the Cleveland Clinic, exposure to mycotoxins might make people feel like they have the flu, but long-term exposure can lead to more serious complications like chronic illness.

Mycotoxins can enter your body through skin absorption, ingestion or inhalation, and short-term symptoms can include fever, dizziness, brain fog, headache, short-term memory loss, nausea and vomiting.
