The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's foundation is now officially in the process of solvent liquidation.
According to documents being dealt with by Companies House, a declaration of solvency for the charity has been launched and a voluntary liquidator for the Sussex Royal charitable body has been appointed.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are formally closing down the UK foundation as they continue ahead with the launch of their global new charitable body Archewell, which was inspired by their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.
The declaration of solvency and other documents were filed at the start of July, but listed as being processed by Companies House for the first time on 28 July.
Earlier this month, a source who works closely with the royal couple told The Independent that paperwork had been filed with Companies House and the Charity Commission to officially shut down Sussex Royal.
“This will appear on the online public record in the coming days,” they said.
The source also explained that when the charity formally enters liquidation, all of its trustees, with the exception of the Duke of Sussex, will step down from their positions.
The duke will continue as director and trustee of Sussex Royal charity “until the liquidation process is complete”.

The source added that the duke and duchess “remain incredibly grateful for the support and guidance the trustees have given during this period”.
On 31 March this year, the royal couple officially stepped down as senior, working members of the royal family.
Shortly after, the Queen and her officials declared the couple had to stop using the word “Royal” in their Sussex Royal brand and, after failing to successfully trademark it, the couple unveiled details for a different charity, Archewell, which will consist of charitable ventures, support groups and a wellbeing website.
It is expected that the website, which will include information on mental health, nutrition and general wellbeing, could follow in the footsteps of Meghan’s defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig.
However, the couple have said they will release further information regarding their plans for Archewell “when the time is right”.
