HALF TIME

2020-08-01T17:22:32.586Z

The first half comes to a close. Chelsea started the better of the two sides but Arsenal have grown in confidence and ended the half well on top. A Pulisic goal and an Aubameyang penalty means the scores are level, and it's set up to be a really intriguing second half.

45+5 min: Pepe's free kick is headed away, but only to the feet of Bellerin. His shot is charged down by Giroud and Chelsea look to have survived the Arsenal onslaught.

44 min: Chelsea can't get out of their own half. Pepe, who's growing more and more influential, weaves his way towards the edge of the box and draws a foul from Christensen. It'll be a free kick in a very dangerous position.

42 min: Arsenal are getting closer and closer, ramping up the pressure. This time a corner drops in the box and the ball is played into the feet of Pepe. His finish is blocked, crucially, by Christensen.

41 min: Again, Pepe crosses from the right, curling a ball towards the back post with his left foot. Maintland-Niles is there to meet it behind a flailing Caballero. His header deflects behind for a corner.

40 min: Arsenal are just probing, menacingly, without creating a clear cut chance late in the half. Some questionable Chelsea defending allows Pepe to cross from the right, picking out the head of Aubameyang, who nods it across for Lacazette. He's beaten to the ball in the air, but Arsenal are asking all the questions as we approach half-time.

38 min: Nearly for Pepe as he links up with Bellerin on the right but can't quite squeeze a pass through the gap to Lacazette, waiting in the box. This is a very open game at the moment.

2020-08-01T17:08:47.360Z

36 min: Alonso picks out Mount with a prodded through ball. The youngster looks to work some space to shoot in the box, but he's held up and instead plays a pass towards the edge of the box. Jorginho is there to hit it, only able to skew an effort over the bar.

SUBS

35 min: Azpilicueta won't be able to continue, and he looks distraught. A tough one to take for the Spaniard, who's replaced by Christensen.

32 min: Now Azpilicueta is down, clutching the back of his left thigh. Chelsea will hope it's not a hamstring injury.

2020-08-01T17:01:59.753Z

30 min: Giroud is down after an aerial challenge with Luiz. The Frenchman needs some attention from the physios.

2020-08-01T17:01:11.010Z

29 min: As seems to happen so often now, the drinks break has changed the trajectory of the game. Arsenal have been much better since and are now right back in this final.

GOAL! Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea (Aubameyang) 28 min

A clinical, emphatically dispatched penalty from Aubameyang, who sends Caballero the wrong way and plants his finish into the bottom right corner.

27 min: A quick VAR check confirms that Aubameyang was fouled just inside the area. No prizes for guessing who'll take it...
