To claim Attendance Allowance, Britons will need to fill out an application form to send off to the DWP.

This will need to be sent by post, with specific information filled out.

Supporting documentation for an application will also be needed, which includes:

National Insurance number
Name of GP and address of GP’s surgery
Details of medication a person takes
Details of anyone else a person has seen about their illness or disabilities in the last 12 months

Prospective claimants will also need to provide details of their illness or disability, and any medication they take.

Britons may be happy to note Attendance Allowance can be backdated to the date a claim is made.
