Liverpool host Bournemouth searching for a win to stop a poor run of a three losses in four games ahead of their Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid next week. The Cherries are lodged inside the relegation zone on goal difference and will be desperate to pick up a result, with pressure heightened to gain points against the top sides after rivals Watford incredibly beat the Reds last week.
The loss of Alisson cannot be understated here with Adrian proving unreliable after his calamitous mistake against Chelsea in the FA Cup midweek.
Follow all the action live here, with build-up, updates, analysis and reaction from Anfield:
72 mins: Liverpool sweep forward and Fabinho passes the ball out to Salah on the right wing. He runs the ball to the edge of the box as Oxalde-Chamberlain makes a run across the ball. Salah sees it and tries to pick him out but the pass is poor and Bournemouth clear it way.
66 mins: Liverpool win another corner. Alexander-Arnold whips it into the middle of the box and van Dijk wins the header. He targets the bottom corner but Ramsdale has it covered and he denies Liverpool a third goal.
63 mins: That attack should be a wake up call for Liverpool who had switched off. Milner sends a free kick into the box from the left. van Dijk rises to meet it but the cross is just out of reach and Ramsdale collects.
60 mins: Liverpool have slowed the game right down. They're happy to be on the ball but there's very little intensity on display at the minute.
Outstanding from Milner!
Liverpool are caught out. Billing flicks a ball over the centre-backs and Fraser runs into the box to collect it. Adrian comes out to meet him but Fraser chips the ball over the goalkeeper. The ball is heading for the net but Milner sprints back to it and clears it before the ball crosses the line!
57 mins: Bournemouth have their longest period of possession in the second half but don't do anything with it and just pass the ball back to the keeper. A long ball comes up to Wilson but the ball goes over his head as he's challenged by Gomez.
51 mins: Bournemouth are being forced to drop deeper and deeper to defend. Liverpool look like the team from the start of the season. Dominating possession and making runs into the box.
48 mins: Gomez sends a long ball back into the box. van Dijk, still forward after the corner, heads the ball across the box. Mane and Simpson wrestle for the ball and it bounces up hitting Simpson's hand in the process. Bournemouth clear the ball, Liverpool want a penalty. They don't get one.
The Reds have stumbled to three losses in four games with Chelsea eliminating them in the FA Cup on Tuesday night but they have the lead at half time against Bournemouth:
45+4 mins: It's been a very interesting first 45 minutes. Bournemouth took the lead with a controversial goal before Liverpool responded with Salah and Mane.
But the Reds look shaky at the back especially when Bournemouth get men forward. They'll want at least one more goal to feel comfortable.
42 mins: Wijnaldum wins a free kick on the right side of the pitch. Alexander-Arnold hits a poor pass into the box but Bournemouth clear it easily.
Stanislas gets forward with the ball again. His cross is rebounded to Fraser who puts another ball into the box. Billing goes to head the ball but misses it.
39 mins: Bournemouth break on the counter with Junior Stanislas. He cuts the ball inside of Gomez and shoots from the edge of the box. Adrian blocks the shot but gives away a corner. Bournemouth's corner is punched out of the box and Liverpool break quickly, storming up the pitch but the attack breaks down.
36 mins: Salah crosses the ball from the right wing into the far post. Milner is in the box and is unmarked. The pass reaches him and Milner guides it towards goal but Ramsdale stops the shot.
33 mins: GOAL! Just like that Liverpool are back! Bournemouth fall into the trap. They win the ball in midfield and try to push men forward. The ball comes to van Dijk and he plays a quality through ball to Mane who is in a whole lot of space. Mane takes the ball into the box and slots it into the bottom right hand corner.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker will miss the visit of Bournemouth after being ruled out with a hip injury which also sees him miss next week’s Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid.
Adrian will deputise for the Brazilian, as he did for 11 matches at the start of the season, with 36-year-old Andy Longergan on the bench as third-choice keeper Caoimhin Kelleher is also injured.
Captain Jordan Henderson will miss his fourth game with a hamstring injury but could be fit for Wednesday’s tie against Atletico, but fellow midfielder Naby Keita is back in contention after recovering from a hip problem.
Bournemouth could have Lloyd Kelly available again after the defender, who has been troubled by ankle and thigh problems, returned to full training.
On-loan midfielder Harry Wilson will not be eligible to face his parent club under Premier League regulations.
Wales international David Brooks (ankle), forward Arnaut Danjuma (foot) and defenders Chris Mepham and Charlie Daniels (both knee) all continue their own recovery.
