One of Celebrity Cruises’ largest ships is set to be renovated ahead of a return to the UK in summer 2028.
Celebrity Beyond, which launched in the UK in 2022, is coming back to Southampton in 2028 for seven-to-14-night sailings to destinations including Norway, Iceland and Scandinavia.
The cruise ship is one of the latest Edge class vessels.
The brand also confirmed that all four of the Edge class ships, Beyond, Apex, Xcel and Ascent will be operating in Europe in 2028.
Passengers sailing aboard Beyond will get to enjoy new features that are being added to the ship during a two-week dry dock in November 2026.
This will see onboard venues that are popular on other ships added to the vessel.
The Celebrity Pool Club cabana area and Bora Mediterranean-themed restaurant, both first-introduced on Xcel, will be added to Celebrity Beyond.
Two new restaurants are also being added. Guests will be able to dine at the new poolside Orange Peel Bar & Grille, which features food such as smash burgers alongside frozen cocktails.
A new Mexican-inspired open-air venue is also being introduced called Tacos del Sol.
Celebrity Beyond also has passenger-favourites including the Magic Carpet – a bar that hangs over the side of the ship and moves up and down during the day – as well as the Rooftop Garden, which features two cantilevered infinity pools.
Cruise fares and routes will be confirmed this week but prices will start from £1,189 per person for an inside cabin on a seven-night Norway Fjords sailing.
It will mark a busy year for cruise ships operating from the UK.
Passengers will be able to sail from Southampton across the entire fleet of P&O Cruises in 2028.
The brand is operating its largest European season with Sky Princess, Majestic Princess and Caribbean Princess sailing out of the port city.
Additionally, Cunard’s four ships Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Anne will gather together at a historic “Four Queens” event as part of UK itineraries in May 2028.
